What happens when you visit
This site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When your browser requests a page, the host processes the technical data needed to deliver it: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system.
This data is used to deliver the site and to keep it secure and stable, which is my legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, where the GDPR applies). I do not combine it with other data and I cannot use it to identify you. The host runs servers worldwide, so this data may also be processed outside Switzerland, including in the EU and the United States. Details are in the host’s own privacy policy: www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
No cookies, no advertising
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It uses no advertising and no social media plugins. Fonts and images are served from this site itself.
Visit statistics
To see which pages are read and how the site performs, I use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a service of the host. Your browser loads a small script from Cloudflare that reports the page viewed, the referring page, the country, the type of browser and device, and loading times. It uses no cookies and no fingerprinting, and it builds no profile of you across visits or across websites. I only see totals, never individual visitors. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, where the GDPR applies).
When you contact me
If you write to me, I use your details and the content of your message only to answer you. I delete the correspondence once it is no longer needed, unless the law requires me to keep it.
Links to other sites
When you follow a link to another website, that site’s own privacy policy applies. I have no influence on how it handles your data.
Your rights
You can ask what data I hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. You can also object to its processing or ask for it to be restricted. Write to the address above.
If you think your data is being handled unlawfully, you can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (edoeb.admin.ch) or, in the EU, to your local supervisory authority.
Changes
I update this notice when the site changes. The version published here is the one that applies.
